## Identity

The Social Club is Kent “Von” Hertzog’s analog and digital hybrid studio in Reading, Pennsylvania. It serves artists, producers, labels, agencies, brands, museums, exhibitors, and other organizations worldwide. Mixing and mastering are the studio’s primary focus, supported by sound design, audio post, video, motion, interactive, immersive, and creative production work.

## Core services

### Mixing and mastering

The Social Club combines digital editing and recall with an analog summing and print path built around SSL equipment and Dangerous capture. The goal is a finished record with weight, focus, balance, and translation from headphones to cars to a full system.

Stereo mastering starts at $150 per song. Mix plus master starts at $500 per song. EPs, albums, labels, and recurring producer partners can request custom pricing.

### Sound design and audio post

Services include sound design, voice editing, music editing, effects, audio post, and mix finishing for film, commercials, branded video, exhibitions, interactive media, and experiential work.

### Video, motion, interactive, and immersive work

The wider production practice includes video editing, motion graphics, typography, color, audio finishing, social content, AR, VR, 360-degree web, museum installations, exhibitions, and interactive experiences.

## Process and files

Start with a rough mix, one to three reference tracks, the deadline, and a note about what should feel different. For mixing, consolidated stems or full session exports beginning at bar 1 are ideal. Include clear labels, BPM, and a rough mix reference. For mastering, send a 32-bit floating-point WAV or AIFF at 48kHz or higher, with no limiter on the mix bus if possible.

Mastering includes two revision rounds. Mix plus master includes three revision rounds. Alternate versions such as instrumentals, TV mixes, clean edits, and stems are available as add-ons. Albums and larger projects are scheduled with clear dates. Rush work may be available when the calendar allows.

The free test master is a short sample pass. Send a rough mix and a reference track to hear the approach before deciding on the next step.

## Studio

The studio workflow includes an Antelope Orion 32+, SSL Sigma, Dangerous Convert-AD+, SSL 18, SSL Alpha 8, and Nuendo. The studio page describes the equipment and how the analog and digital workflow works together:
